I've been a mechanic and technician for over 10 years now. I had started
in electronics, taking one semester of electrical engineering at State
University of New York Farmingdale college. During that time my vehicle
problems drove my interest toward the automotive field. So I switched
directions and attended an automotive trade school for 1 year, then
got my A.A.S. degree from SUNY Farmingdale in Automotive Engineering.
From there I have worked at two major shops: Pep Boys for about 3.5
years, and Land Rover Denver South for 5 years. In that time, I have
earned ASE Master Tech status, as well as Land Rover Master Tech status.
From August 2004 through March 2005 I was an instructor at Denver
Automotive and Diesel College, teaching the Brake system and Manual
driveline classes.
JC's Rover & 4x4 was opened for full time service in April 05. .
As of Feburary 08, Drew Wheeler has returned as our apprentice technician. Drew was my apprentice during the 1st year the shop was open, he was one of my students when I taught at DADC, and had graduated with honors before I had hired him on.
A new technician has come on board in April 07, Brandon has been in the auto repair field for over 10 yrs, and is a part time night student at Metro State University for Mechanical Engineering. He brings a long time commitment to customer satisfaction and quality repair work.
Csaba moved on in March 07, leaving under the best of circumstances. Taking a job at Poison Spider Customs in their Manufacturing and Fabrication department. He is still a member of the Solihull Society, so expect to see him at some club functions including the Land Rover National Rally.
In addition to basic maintenance and repairs we also offer installation services for Lift kits, Gears, Lockers, Bumpers, Winches, Off road lighting, etc.
Custom fabrication is available on a limited basis (we're very busy keeping up with all the other work). Please call me about any projects you're interested in, if I can't help you directly I can refer you to those who can.
